Combines YouTube 4K video with FLAC audio from Tidal, Qobuz or Amazon Music to produce a high-quality MKV file.
Context
YouTube compresses the audio. Lossless platforms don't always have the videos. YouFLAC combines both: the best available video + the best available audio = an MKV that makes no compromises.
My contribution
- YouTube video download up to 4K
- FLAC audio from Tidal, Qobuz or Amazon Music
- Automatic MKV muxing via ffmpeg
- Complete metadata on the final file
- Native Wails + React desktop interface
- Shared Go core (YouFLAC-Core) via FFI
// technical challenge
Synchronising two independent download streams (YouTube video, FLAC audio) then muxing them cleanly without metadata loss — all in Go without heavy dependencies.
